Procedures for Payment of Rewards

1. All Callers to the Crime Stoppers Hot Line will be assigned a confidential code number. (Similar to a PIN).
2. Callers are asked to check the status of a Tip in 30 days. They will identify themselves using the confidential number assigned to them.
3. The Caller will be provided with an update on their Tip, i.e. negative, positive, pending.
4. If the Tip is pending, the Caller will be asked to call for a further update in 30 days.
5. If the tip is positive, the Caller will be asked to select the Scotiabank Branch of convenience from which to collect their reward payment. 
6. At the bank, the Caller will identify himself/herself to the Branch Manager using their assigned confidential code number. National Identification Cards or any other form of persnal identification WILL NOT BE REQUIRED.
7. The reward payment is made in cash.
