Who We Are

Crime Stoppers Barbados is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a safer Barbados by providing a secure and anonymous way for the public to share information about crimes. Established in 2009 by Devrol Dupigny, Crime Stoppers Barbados is part of a global network committed to crime prevention and community safety. By bridging the gap between law enforcement and the community, we empower individuals to take a stand against crime without fear of retaliation.

We operate independently from the police and government agencies, ensuring that all tips remain confidential. Our focus is on fostering a culture where people feel safe to speak up about illegal activities, contributing to the reduction of crime across the island. Through strategic partnerships, public awareness campaigns, and educational initiatives, we strive to make Barbados a safer place for everyone

How We Operate

Crime Stoppers Barbados is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, comprising professionals from various industries. The day-to-day operations are managed by a Programme Director. As a charitable organization, we rely on contributions from businesses and the public to fund our operational, administrative, and marketing expenses. These contributions also support reward payments of up to $1,000 to tipsters whose information leads to arrests, drug or firearm seizures, or the recovery of stolen property.

Maintaining Confidentiality & Anonymity

Ensuring tipster anonymity is at the core of our mission. When you call Crime Stoppers Barbados at 1-800-8477 (TIPS), your call is routed to a secure call center in Canada, which does not use caller ID, voicemail, or any tracking technology. After providing your information, you receive a Confidential Control Number, which you can use to check the status of your tip via our web portal. You may also submit tips online using our secure “Submit A Tip” link, ensuring complete confidentiality at all times.
